    Formatting in TeamSpec

I'm looking at TeamSpec as a possible solution for our requirements documentation - using TeamSystem to satisfy the traceability aspects of our development and testing processes.

It all seems to hang together nicely, and although fiddly in places, I think our guys would be able to get used to it.

    I have one question, though.

Our existing documentation from previous projects tends to put a reasonable amount of detail into each single requirement.  On the whole, this is one or two lines, but can get to 10-20 lines including bullet points and other formatting - captions, bold, indents etc.

It looks to me as if this cannot be done within TeamSpec.  I managed to get some formatting information retained by the document, but not a lot, and was restricted to formatting the whole cell in a table.  In fact, I couldn't get this to work reliably, but that may just be me.

It looks as if TeamSystem is restrictive in the text it can hold.  Can somebody confirm if I am expecting too much?

    Re: Formatting in TeamSpec

    Dear all,

I have exactly the same question. We also use images inside our descriptions that are dropped when transferring it to the TFS item?

It would be really nice if TeamSpec would strip the text from the formatting and then only synchronize the text and maintain the formatting (as for example, a translation memory system does). Is this possible? (For example, we have descriptions that include several Word pages).

I would also like the idea of mapping a Word template (dotx) with TFS fields.

    Best regards, Christine
