team look create new item from email error

We recently purchased several licenses for teamlook and we received and error on one of our business analyst’s computers when trying to create new work item from an email (using the toolbar create new button):

    Message: Error in the application.

    Source: Teamlook

    StackTrace:    at TeamlookPro.TLInspectorWrapper.a(WorkItemType A_0, Inspector A_1)

       at TeamlookPro.TLInspectorWrapper.a(CommandBarButton A_0, Boolean& A_1)

    MethodName: a

Do you know what could possibly be causing this? Is there a fix for it? Should we reinstall the product?

    Hello,

There are a couple reasons this could be failing, so I will give you a couple steps that may aleviate the problem.  You are correct that the first course of action should be to try and re-install TeamLook.  It is possible that one of the required dlls did not get properly registered by the system. If this doesn't work, I suggest enabling tracing (by going to About TeamLook and selecting the trace box option). Once you have a trace file reproducing this problem, email that file to: teamlook@personifydesign.com

The trace file can be found at your 'Application Data Folder'\TeamLook\TeamLook_TraceFile.txt.
You can configure this to be another location by changing the registry key at: HKCU\Software\Personify Design\TeamLook\Tracing\TraceFile

    Cheers,
    ~Joe

Re: team look create new item from email error

I've noticed that I consistently get this error when trying to create a work item from an e-mail that has a BLANK subject.

I've tried it several times, seems to be consistent for me.

When I forward the e-mail to myself (so it gets the FW: in the subject), the problem goes away.
