Support for rich texts content controls

We are evaluating TeamSpec as our requirements gathering tool. All our needs seem to be covered except the feature described below.

Typically our requirements consists of more than just plain text. Especially tables are used a lot.

Also our work item types use HTML text fields for storing work item descriptions.

Though I can copy/paste tables directly from my word documents to workitems (while preserving formatting), doing the same using TeamSpec gives unreadable texts.

When updating a work item description in Team explorer and then syncrhronizing the document gives plain HTML in my document. When dropping a table on a plain text content content control the table is converted to text and becomes unreadable.

I know word supports rich text content controls which allows you to embed tables, bullet lists etc and even pictures.

    Arjan,

We're currently investigating the ability to synchronize the rich text Word content controls (which stores WordML) and a TFS work item HTML field (which stores HTML).  Unfortunately, we currently only support plain text content controls which is why you are seeing the results you are seeing when pasting rich text into a content control.

As soon as we make some progress I'll post an update.  So far, it looks like we'll need a way to transform WordML to HTML and vice versa.

    Thanks,

    Juan
